Induction

Once you have accepted a role with Fusion, your journey through our Fusion Learning Academy begins. There are three elements that make up our induction programme. You will start by completing online, interactive modules to ensure you are well versed in such topics as fire awareness, safeguarding and Fusion as a company. Next, you will work with your line manager to gain a comprehensive understanding of your specific site and your job role.

Once you have settled in, we offer a wide range of soft skill and nationally recognised leisure and compliance based qualifications such as; Delivering Service Excellence, Managing Service Excellence, Pool Lifeguard, First Aid, Pool Plant Operator, Fitness Instructor, Swim teacher and Personal Training certification.

Leadership and management development

We have recognised the benefits to having a clear career pathway for our team members to grow and develop the skills and knowledge to become future and aspiring managers. Leadership development is a part of the Fusion Academy and offers three Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) accredited qualifications, aligned with our business strategies.

The introductory management training starts with Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management. This is aimed at developing our front line level team members in readiness for the next step in their career as a Team Leader. The Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management expands on the theme of management, focusing on the requirements of performance and business management and is aimed at our Team Leaders as they progress to Operations and Customer Relations Managers. The Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management emphasises leadership development, preparing our future General Managers in readiness to lead their centres and face the challenges that confront them with confidence, skill, knowledge and experience.
