About us
Active Life was established in 2002, when Canterbury City Council outsourced the management of its 5 leisure facilities to us.
As the district’s leading sports, fitness and leisure provider we’re dedicated to improving fitness, wellbeing and health. We offer a comprehensive range of activities delivered through our leisure and fitness sites in Canterbury, Herne Bay, and Whitstable.
In 2019 we joined forces with Fusion Lifestyle, one of the largest leisure operators in the country, unlocking the opportunity to grow and develop our facilities through a multi-million pound investment.
Active Life is a registered charity, which means that any surplus we make goes back into enhancing and developing our services and facilities. We are accountable to a Board of Trustees made up of individuals who volunteer their time, possess business expertise and have an interest in our activities. As a charity, we also make sure that we work with the local community and strive to ensure accessibility to all.
